Elad is a partner in the Banking and Finance Department at Herzog Fox & Neeman. He has extensive experience across the financial industry, with a particular emphasis on technology - including online platforms, digital payment solutions and other e-commerce services. As part of his specialisation, Elad advises major financial institutions as well as innovative start-ups, on areas such as cross-border compliance, international anti money laundering and sanction regimes, compatibility with encryption & privacy standards and other regulatory & licensing topics. Additionally, Elad represents both lenders and borrowers in various types of financing transactions, including corporate finance, leveraged finance, derivatives & financial instruments and other financial services. Elad received his bachelor’s degrees in law and in economics from the University of Haifa; during his studies, Elad served as the coordinator of the Haifa Center of Law & Technology and as the project lead for Creative Commons in Israel. Following completion of his legal training and working as an associate at another prominent law firm in Tel Aviv, Elad pursued his Masters degree in economic analysis of law with the European Master in Law & Economics (EMLE) programme (under a full Erasmus Mundus scholarship) at the universities of Hamburg, Bologna and Aix-en-Provence, and submitted a thesis titled "Cross-Ownership and Competition in the Consumer Payment Cards Market".
